Basalt or Lava Stone as it’s otherwise known – you know the dark-colored rock that makes up lots of our beautiful planet? It is an igneous (volcanic) rock formed from molten lava which awesomely cools in a flash! What’s more, basalt covers about 70% of Earth. If you look closely enough at its many coastal ocean floors and plains -you’ll find some too!
The color of Basalt can vary from quarry to quarry and lot to lot. We offer two beautiful colors with the Standard Basalt and Himalayan Black Basalt. It’s a beautiful architectural stone for residential, commercial and hospitality designs. Basalt/Lava Stone can be glazed with stunning, eye catching colors.
